Koko Mosaico is a mosaic atelier-workshop-school in which you can admire ancient and contemporary mosaics. Koko mosaic is part of the Racconti Ravennati collective, born from the meeting of six mosaicists members of CNA Ravenna who, in collaboration with the Linea Rosa Anti-Violence Centre, created the Fiori di Ravenna-Città Amica delle Donne projects and the Our Skin collective monument.
Since 2005, the artistic souls of Arianna Gallo and Luca Barberini, partners in work and life, have been expressing themselves in Koko Mosaico. At the entrance you are greeted by a small gallery of works by Luca, a visual artist, who has his atelier in Koko Mosaico. He has developed a personal, and revolutionary, mosaic language. The activity of the showroom and workshop is divided between reproductions of ancient mosaics, from Ravenna and elsewhere, and innovative contemporary mosaics. This is the realm of Arianna, Creative Director and master mosaicist. Together with her team, she updates, experiments and innovates the traditional mosaic, enriching it with foreign materials or applying it to unusual and original depictions.
At Koko Mosaic you can buy and commission works, or attend one of the many mosaic courses in a relaxed, friendly and international atmosphere.
