IMAD Punto Mosaico

IMAD Punto Mosaico has been active since 2007 and is located a few steps away from the basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo. The studio deals with contemporary research related to mosaic technique, experimenting with unusual combinations of materials. In the creation of jewellery, small objects and furnishing accessories, the tesserae, glass and smalti, and murrhine are putted directly on a definitive binder, creating reverberations and pleasant plays of lights and colours. Following the ancient mosaic tradition, are also executed copies of ancient mosaics and mosaic translations from painted cartoons or photographs.
