In the Multimedia Room of the Ancient Franciscan Cloisters, the Dis-Ordine association presents Via Portone museo a cielo aperto (lit.Via Portone: An Open-Air Museum), a documentary directed, filmed and edited by Manuela Vallicelli, commissioned by the association and supported by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna.
The documentary explores the open-air museum trail that develops through the San Biagio district of Ravenna, along Via Portone and the neighbouring streets, where fifty-two contemporary mosaics are installed. Through images and interviews, it offers an immersive experience that connects art, the local area and memory. The narration is provided by Marcello Landi, president of the Dis-Ordine association, who guides the viewer along the entire route.
Via Portone is a street steeped in history, home over the years to numerous artists: from contemporary mosaicists to 19th-century works, such as the painting “Via Portone” (oil on canvas, 1876) by Telemaco Signorini. With English subtitles, the project is also accessible to an international audience.
