The Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, built in 425 A.D., with its unique early Christian mosaics, is one of the eight amazing UNESCO World Heritage sites in the city of Ravenna.
Mosaic Tiles is a guided tour to discover the timeless beauty of mosaics, housed within some of Ravenna’s most famous UNESCO monuments.
The itinerary begins in Piazza San Francesco and winds through the historic center to reach the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Basilica of San Vitale, and the Neonian Baptistery. At the end of the tour, the guide will accompany participants to the entrance of the Archiepiscopal Museum for an independent visit to its rooms and the Chapel of St. Andrew.
